ARTO as told by ERKKI

”I first met Arto when I joined his Iron Maiden coverband, called Made In Iron, in 2004. I heard his drumming on a demo-track of "Aces High" and I was really impressed. He not only played well, but had captured the essence of Nicko McBrain's technique, and it sounded electrifying and vividly alive, just like a real drummer should. I knew I wanted to play with this guy and really thought that here’s a guy who gets things done.

Arto is crazy in just the right way, always fooling around at his drumkit, singing horribly wrong and looking like the perfect ass... When we played gigs with Made In Iron, I usually ended up drinking quite a few beers with him afterwards and woke up the next morning at his minuscule flat in Vaasa. But, despite all his affection for beer, he's a well-trained professional musician, very reliable and he brings a relaxed atmosphere to the training room and whenever we’re on stage. A good guy to have in any band and that's why I asked him to join Dreamtale.”
